Kid Acne.

Kid Acne

Kid Acne is a young graphic and fine art designer. He was a teenager when he created the name Kid Acne as he was a spotty teenager, but his real name is Ed. His first exhibition was in his home town called 'kill your darlings'. He has done a range of projects from t-shirts, album covers, memorials with graffiti on the wall etc. His first album cover was for his brothers band called 'Brian and the teenagers'. He did study fine art at university. I find that Ed's work is very graphic and illustrating I do really like his work as he has not afraid to challenge himself I think this what makes him inspiring. When his name started to get reconised he was having his work shown by other companies such as night clubs, festivals etc but alongside still did graffiti but stopped in 2002. After this Ed started to get interested in fantasy imagery and did work/ album sleeve for a music group (TTC) from france and this then made his work go public. Ed does his designs by hand and then scans them into photoshop and does more work on top of it to make his work perfect. Ed has literally been over the world such as Miami, LA, Barcelona etc. When he went to barcelona he did most of his memorial work on walls as it was risk free and there was no chance that you were going to get arrested. After he did his graffiti he had an email of Prada asking him to do a series of funky t-shirts for the seasons from autumn to winter and then did a series for spring to summer, these t-shirts were really crazy and really fashionable. I really liked them, carry on from his fashion project his mates wife asked him to put some of his designs on knitwear, these were really good. Another year goes by and he has done a tour in Brazil and did a pinting tour he has met some different people from different cultures and religions. He is still friends with them now. In 2008 he did a project for skateboards with different designs in kid acne style. He then wanted to do something different with graffiti and started painting slogans on walls such as "everyone is a winner" and "you will thank me one day", they were that big it took two people with rollers as they were some on glass roofs. He then decided to go around the world and write in the different languages for example he went to germany and graffitied on the glass roof in german. He just wanted to make a statement. He then had other ideas to make a book cover with characters and a toy company in new york ask if he could let them make them into toys, he agreed to do this, he then did some designs and sent them off. Ed then got the images back from the toy company and there were adjustments to be made which everyone was fine about, there is always improvements. After this was done he was asked if they could be made into people to make a filmplay which he was interested in doing and it turned out to be successful. Ed has based his work on pop art and actual people with real stories. He has done a range of different projects in the UK and all over the world, but still sticks to his fine art side, he finds that this is his strongest point in all the stuff he does. One of his recent projects was for perfume but the photographer wanted to exhibit them but felt like the images needed more so asked Ed and he did his graphic on top of the work and then these images turned out to be really good. When he was at university Ed and his mate created a comic book this was called zebra face. It is very comical and interesting. With Ed's work I find that he likes a challenge and is willing to do anything, I find that doing this you are really passionate about what your doing. I really like Kid Acne's work as it is colourful, outstanding and makes you passionate about what you would like to do yourself in the future.

Annie Leibovitz

Annie Leibovitz.

Annie Leibovitz, is the sort of woman who will photograph anything and everything weather it is on assignment or family she is seeing life through a lens. Annie is a very enthusiastic mother with three children, her photography is based on family friends and famous people. She is very daring in her images and tries to please everybody weather it is for a magazine agents, agents of big stars such as George Clooney, Kristen Dunset, Brad Pitt, Chris Rock, Kiera Knightley. The majority of her works were very staged that were outstanding but then she did realistic pieces with the big story on John Lennon she photographed John Lennon naked with his wife, Yoko Ono. With finishing the shoot about six hours later John was shot and it was a shock to Annie then later John then passed away in the emergency room. Annie was devastated. Annie Leibovitz, did another realistic piece with the rolling stones working on covers on the magazine and with the band itself. Annie then got involved with the rock star life and got hooked on to drugs and was then put into rehab. She photographed some work based on this as well, Annie also did work for vogue, vanity fair and life magazine. Although she did do photography she went to San Francisco university and wanted to become an art teacher, Annie went to San Francisco because her father got involved in the Vietnam War and was based in the Philippines. This was a very difficult time for Annie but by photographing this her mind was taken of it. Leibovitz did a piece on dance and photographed a young lad doing ballet and because of the movements she decided that dance couldn't be photographed, but then said "wouldn't it be beautiful and wonderful if it was". Annie had a saying and it was that she thought that with having a big family then the "camera was another family member". With Annie's work she was told that she had simple and basic ideas and turned them into something amazing her reply was "no i have silly ideas", with this she is putting a stamp on her work.

In 2007, Annie did a shoot on Disney Characters, such as beauty and the beast, snow white, cinderella etc.

Brian Griffin. (to be Edited)

Brian Griffin.

Brain Griffin is a well-known photographer who has been working in the industry for 40 years and has produce a lot of work.

Sally Mann.

Sally Mann.

Sally mann, is a famous photographer who photographed literally everything that was around her, she made everything that looks boring and turned it into something beautiful. With Sally's work she photographed mainly her family, lanscapes and dead bodies or dead body parts. Her husband, Larry, mentioned that Sally has always got a camera in her hand and if you were there you had to be part of the image. Sally mann is a big inspiration to young photographers as she see's beauty in everything and she believes that the things that are close to you make the art the best. I don't think she got her inspiration from another artist that is known but she did get inspiration the old-fashioned way from a book called 'world of artist'. she came to the intention of photographing her children. By doing this she saw things differently when she had her children I think that if she photographed her children then she understood that her inspiration was right in front of her nose to photograph her family. Which she finds beautiful. When Sally photographs things she does it so she doesn't forget things. Sally wasn't the easiest child to raise, her father didn't want to disappoint and was a very proper and demand her parents were very popular in there community and never paid attention to sally. She met her husband when she was 18 and have been married 33 years. I really like Sally Mann's work as she has got inspiration the old-fashioned way which i find interesting, With getting her inspiration from one little thing and then making her images to make them her own is truly amazing and she has always got a camera in her hand so this proves that she is passionate about photography.

This image is a photograph of her daughter and she got her to jump in a pool and spread her hair around in the water and then close her eyes and took her photo. then changed the image to black and white, I  really like this image as to look at you know it has a meaning and has depth, this is what I like about her images there is always and meaning and she truly is one beautiful inspiration.

Rebecca Beinart.

Rebecca Beinart.

Rebecca Beinart studied in Nottingham for 3 years. After she finished university she started working in education and in workshops. She then went to Devon to further her education by starting a course down in Devon. She then did different projects by photographing objects but then quickly moved onto life objects, such as nature and nettles. Rebecca was born in Oxford (1981) and lives in Nottingham. She studied a Bachelors of Arts at Nottingham Trent University (2003) and a Masters of Arts in Arts and Ecology at Dartington School of Art (2008). Rebecca's projects take the form of live events in public places, installations, and interventions, exploring the territory between art, ecology and politics. Her practice investigates places, and their inhabitants. Through repeated experiments in specific sites she seeks to interrupt her own assumptions about a place and understand perspectives she could not see alone. Rebecca's methodologies frequently involve working with others. Sometimes the people she works with are collaborators, partners in imagining and shaping the work from the beginning. Sometimes they accidentally come across her, and are conspirators or witnesses for the duration of an action. Rebecca co-founded the artists collective Yolk (2004) connecting artists from Nottingham twin cities. Since 2008, she has worked on Origination, an ongoing collaboration with her sister, artist Katy Beinart, that investigates migration, family history and place-making. She is currently working with Nottingham based collective the islanders as part of the wasteland twinning network.

These images are some images of Rebecca and what projects she is doing.
